I am a native Charlestonian. I have been baking for as long as I can remember. I began baking Charleston Chewies as a hobby in 1998. I started baking Chewies after my sister-in-law taught me. I used her original recipe and perfected it and made it my own. In 2014 after completing my undergraduate studies at Limestone College where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing as well as a Bachelor of Science in Management, I officially started Charleston Chewies as a business. Subsequently, in 2018 I re-branded my business to Charleston Chewies, LLC. From the beginning I began adding my unique twists to the term I coined the “Traditional” Charleston Chewies and developed several different flavors that are now household names. I offer many different unique flavors categorizing them by the terms I’ve coined as: the “Traditional” Charleston Chewies, “Specialty” Charleston Chewies, “Deluxe” Charleston Chewies as well as “Supreme” Charleston Chewies. Most recently I added the Premier Assortment to the menu. This assortment highlights 4 customer favorites that have become some of my most popular flavors. As of today I have a total of FIFTEEN unique flavors…and counting. We welcome you to chew with us!
